ADM Noord Paint and Beer 2022

PAINT & BEER 2022, Amsterdam's longest running street art festival is BACK once again, and I felt so excited to be part of it.

I helped in bringing together artists local and international to participate in painting live while sipping on the most delicious beers in the Netherlands. You can have some too. Over 40 artists took part including SNUB23, NOL, Fanakapan, SI Mitchell, Mittenimwald and the Gums and Tongues crew.
Unlimited brews are supplied by Freikens Brewery, which has been brewing speciality beers on a small scale for years, initially at ADM and later in the squatted industrial complex Villa Friekens in Amsterdam Noord. Friekens gained notoriety in (sub-)cultural circles.

All at the unique place of ADM Noord, a Social and cultural zone, located on the site of the former sewage treatment plant Amsterdam North and the adjacent Sludge Fields.

The Paint & Beer event officially took place at ADM Noord on Saturday the 17th of September, on the day of the event I painted my cheeky little 2 headed stoner kitty inspired by the cat in Transmetropolitan By Warren Ellis. But throughout the trip, I painted many pieces with so many of my wonderful friends.

One of my favorite pieces I painted at the weekend was on the side of a DIY train, Sid from Friekens Brewery created this train especially for the event. I painted a big pink grumpy bunny with the help of little Alex (12) alongside SNUB23. I think it summed up the event perfectly, Joyful, full of fun and a little bit rough round the edges.
